The SeaI/O-530E-OEM is an advanced Ethernet I/O module that offers 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 open-collector outputs. The inputs are rated for 5–30VDC and provide 300V external isolation, which ensures the protection of sensitive equipment from electrical noise and transients common in industrial environments.
The open-collector outputs are designed for controlling inductive loads, such as DC motors, with a high-current sinking capability. Each output is protected by flyback diodes, preventing damage when switching inductive loads. The outputs are grouped into eight-bit ports, which simplifies wiring and connections.
The SeaI/O-530E-OEM communicates over Modbus TCP via Ethernet, enabling easy remote control and monitoring of the system. The module is powered by a 9–30VDC source, with flexible power input options via terminal blocks or modular connectors.
For mobile testing and diagnostics, the Sealevel Modbus Connect iOS app provides remote access to the module’s registers and coils. Additionally, the module supports expansion with up to 246 additional SeaI/O modules, providing flexibility for large-scale industrial control systems.
